Pilates for Youth Workshops
Are 2-21 hour workshops that can be used for Continuing Education and Professional Development for Pilates teachers, allied professionals and community members.
These workshops are geared to the specific learning populations. For example, if for sports and conditioning coaches, the focus is on how to effectively use Pilates exercises for functional and foundational movement that enhances the specific sports training. Focus is on how to use these exercises as a preventative measure for injury. Additional emphasis will be on movement analysis for observational skills of the coach to improve movement mechanics. Another example would be the Health Educators, where the emphasis would be on lifestyle choices and wellness and how to incorporate basic youth appropriate Pilates exercises for their constituency.
All courses are comprehensive for the target audience to support their existing practices along with facilitating the skills necessary for community outreach in their respective fields. All training activities are eligible for continuing education credits.
